2 Background Education Code (EC), Section (c)(1) -CDE approval for charter school applications Education Code, Section Public Resources Code (PRC), Section California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 5, Sections 14001, , and

3 Contact Charter Consultant early Recommended site size letter, for application: – Pupil capacity of project – Grade level configuration Review potential sites to evaluate – Possible CCR, Title 5 concerns – Suitability for project

4 Prepare Studies for the Preferred Site Required studies are listed on the SFPD 4.01-C, School Site Approval Procedures – Charter For early release of site funds from OPSC, a contingent approval may be issued prior to: – DTSC final determination letter – Completion of CEQA action – SFPD 4.03 Form, School Site Certification
