Presentation transcript:

Theism Belief in the existence of a god or gods, especially belief in one god as creator of the universe, intervening in it and sustaining a personal relation to his creatures.

Optimism Hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something

Pessemism A tendency to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen; a lack of hope or confidence in the future.

Hedonism The theory that pleasure (in the sense of the satisfaction of desires) is the highest good and proper aim of human life.

Humanism A philosophy that emphasizes the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively, and generally prefers critical thinking and evidence over divine or supernatural powers.

Socialism A social and economic belief that calls for public rather than private ownership or control of property and natural resources. According to the socialist view, individuals do not live or work in isolation but live in cooperation with one another.

Animism The belief that objects, places and creatures all possess a distinct spiritual essence. Potentially, animism perceives all things—animals, plants, rocks, rivers, weather systems, human handiwork and perhaps even words—as animated and alive.
