Pick up the handout on your way in. Bell Work Pick up the handout on your way in. Take out the Odyssey Bell Work worksheet from yesterday to be turned in after the teacher gives you some information. Take out your flashcards – we will be adding to them today. If you don’t have them, take out paper to take notes on what you will need to add to them. Take out your vocabulary list.

In order to determine how to use the word in a sentence, you have to know what kind of word it is. Nouns: a person, place or thing. You put the articles a, an, or the in front of nouns Adjectives: words that describe nouns. You should be able to put a noun after the adjective. Verbs: action words. You put the word “to” in front of a verb Adverbs: describe when, where, how much, or to what degree. After verbs: ran yesterday, ran there, ran slowly, ran very fast

Add identifiers to your word list Nouns: Add the articles a, an, or the in front of the nouns Adjectives: put a noun (such as “man”) after the adjective. Verbs: put the word “to” in front of the verbs Adverbs: put a verb in front of the adverb

Get into your groups and complete the worksheet. After we go over the answers, you can transfer the sentences, synonyms, and antonyms on to your flashcards.
