Chapter 12 Genitive Case The only case we have not talked about is the genitive case. The genitive case centers around possession. But that is not it. Nominative case centers on the subject of a sentence along with the predicate nominatives. The accusative case centers on direct objects. The dative case focuses on the indirect object.
