Civil Construction What means civil construction on site. The following slides will show pictures taken from various construction sites including some comments. Our main activities are soil improvement works, site infrastructure installation, power plant buildings like machine hall, control room building, water treatment plant, store- and workshop buildings, cooling towers, cooling water intake and outfall structures, roads, outdoor facilities and landscaping.

Civil Construction Steel reinforced concrete works The concrete works are the most time consuming works of the entire civil activities on site. One of the focus are the numerous embedded parts that have to be placed in foundations. Those are steel ancor plates, steel pockets, bolts, conduits, earthing rods, and others.

Civil Construction Structural steelwork and cladding Most of the buildings carcasses are made of steelstructure, double skin cladding and thermal insulation. The building carcass has to fulfill noise protection requirements as well as protection against dust, wind and water, freezing temperatures and/or heat. The steel structure has to carry the load of the overhead cranes as well as load of equipment like piping, mechanical modules, cable trays and others.

Civil Construction Other works related to civil Those works can be soil improvement works (piling, soil exchange) or conveyor belts for coal fired power plants, silos, bridges, rain water retaining basins and so on. Even the installation of a fully functioning concrete mix plant on site can be part of our civil works.

Civil Construction Finishing works The Control Room Building is the center of the power plant control and consitst of control rooms, office space, sanitary installations, social areas, meeting rooms and so on. Other buildings that require finishing works are for instance the Water Treatment Building, Store- and Workshop Building and Laboratory Building.
