Welcome to Jestek Web Site SITE DELUX Making Web Site Changes: Site Add-Ons This tutorial is designed to help you make changes on your own with your SiteDelux Web Site. This will cover only the basics of Site Add-Ons. More tutorials are being created to help you with more involved changes based on request of Jestek Web Site customers. You can always contact Jestek for help in changes you are having trouble with.

Site Add Ons Button: Here you will find many neat and cool things you can add on to your website. Although understanding a small amount of code is needed for some functions…adding it here is not hard. Enter your site as outlined tin the basic tutorial.

Your page will now look like this: Just select where you want the site add-ons to be placed by clicking Add it here button. If you are not on the page you wish to place this just navigate through the website until you get to the desired location.

Your page will now look like this: Now you need to decide what kind of site Add-on you wish to select. You will find some tools are duplicated under each of these tabs. Recommended – Most used tools. Business Tools – Typical business tools. Site Extras – A few repeated favorites and a few more interesting tools. Multimedia – Integrate music, video and a few more advanced features here.

File Download: This is for placing docs you wish to put on your web for other to not only view but download too. Docs like PDF, Word, Excel and so on. Use this Site Add-On to place a file on your web site that your visitors can download or run. You can include files that aren't in web format like a resume in PDF, a spreadsheet, and so on. Just click Add. If the file has not already been uploaded click Upload a file, find the file on your computer and select it, then Rename file with no spaces special characters or caps, then click Done. Then Type in the Enter the text that visitors will click: box at the bottom of the page, what will read on the link on the site (This can be edited later).. Then click Choose to the right of the file name. Your File download is now done. Note: If you need to replace an existing PDF you will need to follow the above instructions to put the new pdf up on your site and then go in and delete the old pdf. Helpful Hints for some more Popular Site Add-Ons Add your own HTML: Although this is marked as an advanced feature it can be used in an easy capacity. Say you want to share a YouTube video on your web site. These types of links are easy to do in this tool. Most other websites that encourage the sharing of material like this will give you the code to use so you do not even have to think about it too much. Just get the code and highlight it, right click and copy. Then open this feature on the site add-ons button and paste the code into the html box. Click done. You have done it. We recommend: For Calendars: or Google is a little more detailed and Brolmo is a little more simplistic…just depends on your needs. Brolmo also offers a questionnaire tool. For Fun: Photo Puzzler maker: Moon phases: Links to games like Halloween Hangman These use basic already written codes that you can add to your web site and look like a pro! Go ahead and try some of these.
