Excuses For Abortion Murdering The Young The four excuses given, as we noticed, appealed not to “morality” or “ethics” but to emotions. We noticed how the excuses of “rape, health of mother, abuse of children, and it’s my body didn’t hold up to any real scrutiny, but only played on the emotions of others. This is where we ended up leaving off and where we are going to pick up today, looking at our next point (SLIDE) Murdering The Young

Five Methods of Abortion Before I begin, I want to warn each of you that what we are about to talk about is very disturbing. I wish there were easier ways to discuss these but the graphic nature of each of them is important to understand, not because I’m worried about anyone here but because we can help someone else understand the horrifying truth behind such procedures. Suction Method The unborn child can only by up to 12 weeks old. Take the suction apparatus and connect it to the long flexible tube that is connected to the vacuum. The suction apparatus is inserted into the womb breaking the embryonic fluid and attaching itself to the limbs of the unborn child. The limbs are torn off leaving the head which is then crushed so that it can fit though the flexible tube as well. This method typically takes about 5 minutes to complete. There is a video called the silent scream wherein an abortion doctor video taped this method. It is horrific as one sees the baby doing everything he/she can to get away but can’t. (SLIDE)

D & e Method This is performed typically when the baby is 12 to 17 weeks old. This is where a surgeon goes into the womb w/ forceps. The forceps are used to grab the unborn child and tears it out similar to a D&C. The body must be torn apart to fit through the cervix of the woman. Dr. Warren Hern of the Boulder Abortion Clinic, who specializes in “late term abortions” stated…(SLIDE)

“The sensations of dismemberment flow through the forceps like an electric current…” This procedure takes about 15 minutes but must have about two days of preparation of the cervix before the procedure can be performed. Saline poisoning Method There comes a time when dismembering a baby is no longer a viable option. For this procedure a child is usually between 17 and 20 weeks i.e. 6 months. This procedure begins by placing a large needle through the mother’s abdominal wall and into the amniotic sac. A concentrated saline solution is put into the amniotic sac. The unborn child breaths in and swallows the poison and dies typically in about an hour. The mother goes into labor about a day later and gives birth to a deceased baby. The baby is usually red because the saline poison burns the baby inside and out. It should be noted that this is not a 100 percent procedure and that many children are born alive only to suffer for weeks in hospitals before dying. (SLIDE)

hysterotomy Method This type of abortion is similar to a caesarian. This procedure is done after 20 weeks typically and called a “late term abortion.” The abortion doctors surgically open the mother’s abdomen and take the baby out. All babies are born alive at this point. The babies are then either killed or left to die by lack of attention. One doctor noticed the baby start to kick its legs and move its arms and cry but before he/she could cry the doctor put the placenta over its head and suffocated it. If this wasn’t enough, many of these babies are sold for “research purposes.” (SLIDE)

Partial birth Method This is another late term abortion method. For babies 6 months old or more. The abortionist, guided by ultra sound, will grab the babies legs with forceps. The unborn child’s legs are pulled into the birth canal where the baby’s entire body is born except the head. The abortionist then takes a pair of scissors and plunges them into the back of the head. These scissors are opened up and the brain is suctioned out. The dead baby is then removed. In 1997 our current president, Obama, voted for partial birth abortions in Illinois Senate bill SB 230. It should be noted he was the only one who voted “for” it. (SLIDE)

The Bible on Abortion Murdering The Young Like with every moral and ethical situation the Bible also deals with abortion. To begin with, we must understand a prominent point found throughout the Bible. (SLIDE) Murdering The Young

Murder Is Sinful Under the Patriarchal Law it was sinful. (SLIDE)

“Cain spoke to Abel his brother “Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him…10 And the LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground.” Under the Law of Moses murder was sinful. Genesis 4:8, 10

“You shall not murder.” Exodus 20:13 Also under the Law of Christ we find “murder” sinful. (SLIDE) Exodus 20:13

“Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.” 1 John 3:15

When is a baby a baby? Both in the Hebrew and the Greek we find this answered by God. (SLIDE)

This Hebrew word is found in Genesis 17:25 “And Ishmael his son…” The word “son” here is the Hebrew word “ben” and as you can see indicates a child out of the womb. This word is found 4,894 times in the O.T. wherein most are talking about the child out of the womb. However, there are times when it is used for a child in the womb. In Genesis 25:22 we read of Jacob and Esau in the womb, “The children struggled together within her…” The word “children” here is “ben” and clearly indicates a child in the womb. God considers His creation in the womb and out of the womb a child with no distinctions. (SLIDE)

This Greek word is found in Luke 2:12 which reads, “And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” The word “baby” here is this Greek word “brephos.” It is clearly indicating a child out of the womb. This word is found 8 times in the N.T. The majority of the time it is referring to a child out of the womb once again. However, like before we find this same Greek word found describing a baby in the womb. In Luke 1:41 we read, “And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb…” The word “baby” here is “brephos.” (SLIDE)

When is a baby a baby? A baby, according to God and His Word, is a baby in the womb and out of the womb. Murder by definition is the “taking of innocent life.” Is there any human more innocent than an unborn child? (SLIDE)

Murdering The Young Brothers and sisters this is a challenging topic and one that pulls at every emotion we as humans should have. Let us make sure on this topic that we help those that have either been involved in such or are thinking of committing such. Let us be a light to our community about such practices and let us make sure we are not hiding our head in the sand concerning it!!!
