Mexico 2016 2016/9/13 Scott Helmhold

As I was packing my bags for Mexico I always thought that I was forgetting something which this time I did not, I think. As I boarded the plane I smelt these chips being opened and they smelt so good at the time because I was so hungry. After about 4 hours into the flight I woke up from my sleep and I was told my mom ordered me pizza so I was happy about that. When the pizza came I took one bite and it tasted so good. When we went to the resort there was a alligator in a cage and it was scary as soon as we looked at in it started to move towards us as my fingers slowly got off the metal cage. After that I immediately went and got a drink from the bar, The drink tasted fruity just like the bartenders personality. The bartender was nice but he thought I was 18 so at first he offered to get me a beer then I showed my wristband which indicated that I was underage and then he said oh I will make you my favorite. So at first I was sceptical but I knew he would probably make me something good so he made me some sort of strawberry smoothie. After finishing my smoothie I went back to the alligator to see if he had calmed down and I think he did because you could see his tail but nothing else because he was under the water which is good but also scary. But then they brought out this meat that looked really gross to me but apparently it looks good to the alligator because when they lowered it into his cage he came out of the water slowly and then jumped up and snapped the meat with his mouth and took it in the water. And then after that I walked away because I saw how high alligators could jump and it freaked me out a lot.

After seeing the alligator I was a little freaked out so I kept on walking down this path and then I saw some cute little monkeys they were so awesome so I sat and watched them for about 20 minutes just jumping around from pole to pole is was so cool. So after seeing the monkeys I was in a good mood so I went back and got another drink but this time I got a coca cola and it tasted like pure sugar. Holy it tasted weird, I don’t even know if it was coca cola, wow it was different. So I dumped the coca cola and I got a Pepsi and the Pepsi tasted normal so I was happy, so after I got my drink I went and walked along the zoo part again and I saw the monkeys and then passed them and then I turned this corner and I saw a little box that had about 10 snakes in it and after I saw that I was freaked out because I am afraid of snakes, I've always worried about getting close to the glass and then one of the snakes jumps at me and hits the glass that would freak me out so much. After seeing the snaked I was not as happy as I was before so I walked back past the monkeys and past the alligators and went up to my room were my family was sitting watching tv. My family booked two rooms, one for me, my brother and mom and the other for my other brother and his girlfriend. After about an hour of watching tv and looking at the view, my brother and I went for a walk and we saw this really big gecko scurry across the floor by our feet, then we went to eat dinner at a restaurant in the resort.

After being scared out of my own pants by the animals, I went with my family to the pool. As we were walking to the pool we spotted a tiny little green gecko and then we saw it scurry across the floor, but then as we watched it move along we saw another gecko, but this time it was red. I almost wanted to go up to it and adopt it as my own pet. After seeing these geckos, we got to the pool and got the last 3 seats in the 2nd row, but who cares about your seats when you have a swim up bar, so we put the towels on our seats and hopped in. I ordered a Shirley temple which is my favorite drink ever, then my mom and brother ordered Pina coladas. My other brother ordered a chocolate latte or something like that, but I do admit it did look really good even though I could not drink it. As we were in the pool this resort had these games that people could do like quizzes and stuff like that, but there was one game that everyone really liked and it was called the crazy game, which was different each time. So basically what you had to do is a sexy strut around the pool and then do three sexy poses so my brothers and I did that, but after all of that you had to do your biggest belly flop ever so my brother won it all just because he had the best belly flop ever. So after all of that we went to sit down at the beach and just relax and pretty much just take in the view, because you don’t wake up and see Mexico everyday it truly is just such a beautiful place.

So after doing all of the belly flopping my brothers and I had drinks together in a sports bar and just relaxed as we sat there we heard someone say “ I loved you the best ginga”. Little did we know that ginga meant red head, which my brother is. So after we heard her, we started to talk to her and her family, I personally loved their accent. It just sounds so great to me, but after we got to know them a little more and actually talk to the we found out they were from England which I find really cool. We also found them to be really nice people, who became our friends. They had a husband, wife, and 2 kids, one boy and 1 girl. So after we left the pool later that day we went to eat dinner and we heard “is that you ginga?” as soon as we heard that we knew that that it was them, so we talked while waiting in the lineup, then after that we went our separate ways into the restaurant. After eating a delicious dinner we went to our rooms, said goodnight together and plopped onto our beds and turned on the tv and watched some Dora but then we forgot we were in Mexico so it was in Spanish. We didn’t mind because it was kind of entertaining to us, you could ask us why, but we have no idea. As we were watching Dora we heard really loud footsteps outside our door almost like a bear, so my brother got up to look through the door hole and it was this really tall guy walking a huge dog, so we sat back down, relaxing knowing that there is not a dino outside of our room. So after we were done sipping on our drinks, we said goodnight to each other, brushed our teeth and went to bed to rest for another day in the beautiful paradise they call Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
