Spring Musical Parent Meeting

Thank you for coming! We are thrilled to begin this exciting journey with you and your children! First, let us introduce our director this year.

Director’s Notes Synopsis Rehearsal Schedule Performance Dates – April 11 (Matinee)-April 14th Expectations

From Our Director GOOD ATTITUDES! NO COMPLAINING!!! Always bring a pencil and a highlighter Be prepared for rehearsals - look at the calendar beforehand and then look over their script. http://raidertheaterresgmsd.weebly.com/play -calendar.html Practice in between rehearsals! (especially in this early stage when we are only rehearsing twice a week). Work on your lines and go over the music and/ or blocking we have learned in rehearsals. GMSD PARADE!!!

Practices Tentative Rehearsal Schedule Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-8:30 Fridays 3:30-6:00 Saturdays 9:00-12:00 Add Wednesday rehearsals sometime in March Tech Week is March 30th – April 11th. There will be practice every night during tech week. The cast must reserve this week completely for the show. No conflicts this week.

More about Practices Not every child will be required to attend every practice. The closer we get to the show, the more students will need to be at practices. The weeks leading up to the play may require your child to be at each practice. We also might have to add practices as show time approaches. We will let you know. You may send a light snack and water bottle with your child on practice days. Remember it needs to be a small snack.

Financial Obligations Each cast member is required to pay the $100 tuition fee. This money is due by January15th. (families with more than one child in the cast will pay $100 for one child and then $60 for additional children) You can send it to your child’s homeroom teacher in an envelope marked, “Mrs. Moss.” If paying by check, please make the check payable to Riverdale and make sure to include a phone number on your check.

BioGRAPHIEs Each cast member needs to complete a simple biography. This will be included in our playbill. (bios need to be limited to 400 characters) These will need to be sent to Melanie.Moss@gmsdk12.org by January 15th. You may go to the webpage for sample biographies.
