Meet Your Teacher

My name is Marcie Leek. Please call me Marcie. Do you remember my name? My name is Marcie Leek. Please call me Marcie.

I am from Arizona...

I am from Arizona, but I have lived in many places, including: England Spain

I love Seattle.

I have taught English… For over 15 years!!! In Arizona (at a community college and at the University of Arizona) In Arkansas (at an Intensive English Program at the University of Arkansas) And in Washington (here at NSC, at UW, and at Seattle Central College)

My History at North Seattle College I have taught grammar, writing, reading, listening, speaking, computers, and pronunciation. I have worked in the Intensive English Program, the ESL program, and college English. This quarter, I am teaching: Your class (of course!) English 98 (college reading and writing) Grammar questions: What are the names of the verb tenses in purple? Why did I use two different tenses on this slide?

I also teach yoga!

I am a fan of the Seattle Seahawks!

I have a dog named Opal. I am her fan, too .

I love teaching grammar! We will have fun this quarter . (And we will work very hard!)
