ESC19 and Wells Fargo Head Start Scholarship 807 students meeting initial eligibility criteria Almost 1,000 attendees at our informational meeting 378 student applied for a scholarship 110 students were identified as SEMI-FINALISTS 110 students attended our informational meeting on 2/15/2018

ESC Region 19 and Wells Fargo Additional Requirements: TSI BOOT CAMP UTEP LEADERSHIP CAMP

ESC Region 19 and Wells Fargo What is the TSI? Exam for College Readiness Must meet criteria to enroll in collegiate courses Used to determine readiness for college-level course work TSI is offered for Reading, Writing, and Mathematics

ESC Region 19 and Wells Fargo Additional Requirements: TSI BOOT CAMP Must complete at least 6 hours of Face-to-Face instruction Must complete at least 30 hours of SHMOOP online practice Attempt/Pass the TSI in Reading and Mathematics Currently, 64 students are participating in TSI Boot Camps.

ESC Region 19 and Wells Fargo Additional Requirements: UTEP LEADERSHIP CAMP Must complete 12 modules through Face-to-Face instruction Any student who passes their TSI will be invited to join the leadership camp modules Currently 46 students are participating in Leadership Camp.

ESC Region 19 and Wells Fargo UTEP PREP - Opportunity to earn 6 credit hours (2 classes) at UTEP - Registration, tuition, books, and fees are all paid - Competitive application process, however all ESC19 scholarship students given priority - 61 students have already completed their UTEP Prep application packet Total Value of UTEP Prep ~ $2,500

ESC Region 19 and Wells Fargo What is a “SCHOLARSHIP?” grant or payment made to support a student's education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievement. ESC 19, Head Start, and Wells Fargo have worked to make some form of payment to support every student applying for a scholarship.

ESC Region 19 and Wells Fargo Every Student has been given: UTEP Prep TSI Boot Camp (if needed) Leadership Camp (if applicable) At minimum every student has received $2,088 for TSI Boot Camp $2,500 for UTEP Prep
