The Speckled band The book tells the story of a family in which the father passed away. The mother went to India, where she met the violent stepfather of her two daughters, Julia and Helen. Still in India, the two were married, and years later the mother died. However, the stepfather was enriched again because he came from a wealthy family. In his house there were animals from India, where they could enter and leave freely, like the gypsies, who could also do so and people began to be afraid of them.

The Speckled band Every night they heard whistles as they smelled their stepfather's tobacco because the air conditioning was connected to their room. After a while, Julia died, and Helen had the same symptoms as her sister, and looked for Sherlock Holmes help.

The case of Sherlock Holmes Everything was organized to unravel the case. One night Helen left the window of her sister's room open for the detectives to come in the night. When night fell, the detectives came in through the window and went to her stepfather's room, however, Sherlock Holmes saw a chest with a glass of milk on top and asked Helen what the chest contained. She said she thought it contained money, and one of the detectives suspected that there was a glass of milk on the safe.

Continued resolution of the case The detectives opened it and found something unexpected ... it was a snake !!! Then the case was unraveled, that is, after all, Julia died, due to the snake of the stepfather, that he was later arrested ...

Sir Arthur Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, May 22, 1859 and died in Crowborough, July 7, 1930. He was a British physician and writer, world-famous for his 60 stories about Detective Sherlock Holmes, considered a great Innovation in the field of criminal literature. He was a renowned and prolific writer whose works include science fiction stories, historical novels, plays and novels, works of poetry and nonfiction. Arthur Conan Doyle lived and wrote part of his works in Southsea, an elegant district of Portsmouth.
