Theme this term: Existence This week: The Father The Way of the Day

In the name of the Father, The Sign of the Cross In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

A reading from the book of Exodus God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO AM' And he said, 'This is what you are to say to the Israelites, “I AM has sent me to you." ‘ - Exodus 3:10-14

We know that person and they know us. Reflection When we meet someone for the first time we usually ask what their name is and we tell them our name. This exchange signifies the beginning of a relationship. We know that person and they know us.

This same thing is happening when God talks to Moses this bible reading. By reaching out to Moses, God reveals His desire to be in a relationship with all of mankind. God wants us to know Him in a new and personal way. God is not some far of dictator who sits in heaven and barks orders, but He is a God who is near to His people, who cares about His children, and who desires a loving relationship with them.

Spend a moment of quiet to think about what you have just heard: God wants to be close to you. We wants a relationship with you. He will provide for your every need.

We pray together using the same words Jesus used to pray to His Father Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. Amen

In the name of the Father, The Sign of the Cross In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
