Take Off from Floor Plan Tally Quantity of Door Frames Develop Parts List for Board Footage Use Jambs, Casing, Stop Develop Board Footage (include Waste) FROM YESTERDAY - START OFF WITH THE QUESTIONS: There are two aspects of these bookcases that do not meet the AWI Quality Standards for this project. If you know what they are, save your answer for tomorrow, there may be a great prize in your future. ANSWER: 1) Bookcase shelving needs to be 1” thick for spans over 32” - in QSI8, 400-G-8; 2) Structural lumber for toe-kick is not recommended in QSI8, 400 A-T-1. Exercise to do the door jamb take-off from the Floor Plan drawings Presenter instructs attendees to go to back of the handbook to find the 11_Frames & Casings Worksheet. Enter quantity of door frames Calculate the BF of material required Target time = 5-6 minutes for take-off | 10-12 minutes for calcs.

Turn to your Labor Sheet and look up the Cost Book codes and list. Time: 5 mins.

Summary Table Captains Report a Consensus of Lineal Feet of Door Casing from your Table Presenter instructs Table captains to assign a reporter to go to flip chart and place their total lineal footage.
