Every implementation will have some level of customisation Objects, Versions, Overrides, Security, Task Views , interfaces etc EnterpriseOne platform changes - database Upgrade processes vary from release and platform depending on:- Platform and release combinations (database, Unicode etc) Data volumes and quality Levels of customisation Level of changes and affects on business processes Standard Oracle upgrade tools have lots of options to cope with this November 18 Page 5

…things to watch out for and consider Build an upgrade Environment infrastructure Don't use standard Environments (i.e. Development) Make sure all Environments are code-current (especially Pristine) Support for on-going TC in order execute multiple times Check all modified Objects have the correct system codes Custom Objects must be coded with both System Reporting Code (alias SYR) and System Code (alias SY) in the custom range of 55-59 Merge Flags must be set so that the Objects will be marked to be merged into the new release Third-party use of customised System Codes November 18 Page 6

If not, temporary table archiving Manage and plan (understand) the Table Conversion Workbench process Avoid any TC duplicate processes (e.g. index generation on large tables) Overall, there are many things to watch out for depending on the release and the platforms that are being upgraded!
