IEEE No Longer Adopting ISO or IEC Standards Effective immediately. ANSI mandating adopted standards be labeled a “U.S. national” standard & must include U.S. national forward & national branding on each page. These may only be actively marketed/sold in the U.S. This change to the ANSI/IEEE license agreement is inconsistent with IEEE-SA’s position as a developer of global standards. IEEE-SA along with ISO & IEC are still committed to mutual collaboration. The joint development/dual logo agreements with ISO and IEC remain in place. Change does not affect the use of ISO & IEC standards as normative references.
