ENGAGE In groups, look at your Spot It deck. What do you notice? What do you think the rules of the game might be?

EXPLORE Spot It Rules: Each set of two cards have one picture in common. This is a two player game. The deck is split in half. Players flip one card over at a time. The person that calls the common picture first, wins both cards. The winner of the game is the person with the most cards.

EXPLORE PLAY THE GAME! How many different pictures are there? How many different cards?

EXPLAIN What did you notice when observing and playing the game?

ELABORATE Two Picture Deck How many total cards would you need? How many total pairings (sets of two pictures)? How many pairings on each card? Draw the deck
