Virtual Arrival – The Reality We approached the market and an owner that understood and is receptive to the virtual arrival concept. Chartered the Bro Elizabeth from Handytankers. Vessel sailed on 2nd September 2009 and we engaged WNI to do the virtual arrival analysis . Vessel arrived in Isle of Grain at 1000 hrs on the 16th September and the virtual arrival was Sep 15th 0650. Bunker Savings 58.83 mts of HFO Saved 24,800 USD split 50/50 between owner and charterer so 12,400 each Virtual arrival demurrage 18,000 USD The Results for each party …………..

Virtual Arrival – The Benefits for the owner The voyage earnings enhanced as demurrage is kept whole and 50% of the savings of the bunkers Discharge to discharge 30kt at ws 100 10,430 USD pd over 19.5 days Result improved to 11,065 pd over 19.5 days 6% improvement in TCE earnings

Virtual Arrival – The Benefits for the Environment Emissions saved CO2 183.2 mts Nox 4.39 mts Sox 3.49 mts This represents a 27% reduction in fuel consumptions and emissions over the length of the voyage.
