Disaster Recovery Site Requirements Initiative CTS Advisory Council Meeting 02/06/2013

DR Site Requirements Update Purpose Statement – Identify CTS requirements and recommend alternatives for a Disaster Recovery site that meets the ongoing business needs of CTS and its existing and potential future customers.

DR Site Requirements Update Business Drivers – A long-term DR location is essential to the continuing operations of CTS and customer agencies. – Master contract for DR site at TierPoint in Liberty Lake expires March – The Spokane node site primarily houses telecom infrastructure, but also hosts some CTS distributed service infrastructure. This site is not an ideal DR facility because of building ownership issues and location. – It is possible that CTS may decide in the future to combine a self- provisioned mainframe DR solution with other DR so mainframe requirements will be considered.

DR Site Requirements Update Goal – To identify CTSs DR requirements that can be used to either a)Secure a site at another government agency location, or b)Used in a procurement process to co-locate with a private sector data center provider. Objectives & Key Deliverables – Equipment Requirements: List of CTS and existing customer equipment that needs to be accommodated in DR site. – Site Requirements: List of ideal physical site requirements – Recommendations: Recommend site alternatives that meet requirements
