Supporting Path Promotion Regular updates on path closures on the CNPA website; Revised time limited Ballater Path Leaflet- working with business association to ensure enhanced promotion ; Ongoing discussion with new destination organisation to promote the outdoors and the range of attractions in Deeside; Cairngorms Business Partnership bidding for 190k from Scottish Tourism Destination Development Fund to promote the area.

Other updates Mountain and People Project- a joint 5 year venture between both National Parks to restore and upgrade 77 miles of paths, provide training for young people and work with schools and communities to protect some of Scotland’s most outstanding natural landscapes.; Deeside Way; Health Walk Leaders- CNPA will be working in partnership with four medical practices this summer to increase levels of walking. Aviemore, Dufftown, Strathdon and Ballater Medical Practices will refer 60 patients to the Cairngorms Walking to Health programme. Four new walking to health groups are in development: Glenlivet, Lumsden, Cromdale and Newtonmore. A health walk volunteer celebration day was held at Glenmore Lodge on 26th April 2016. Cameron McNeish and Grant Moir delivered speeches and thanked volunteers for their dedication and enthusiasm.
