Trade in Counterfeit ICT Goods

2016 OECD-EUIPO report on counterfeit trade: A set of general, global “snapshots” of counterfeit trade using customs data on seizures of fake goods + trade data. Excellent data – potential for case studies I was here last year presenting this time last year on the joint OECD-EUIPO report on Counterfeiting and Piracy. -426bn annually/ up to 2.5% of global trade based on the 2013 estimates. This publication is based on this same data, new data and information and also builds off the 2008 study.

Brands and companies most affected by counterfeit trade are mostly located in OECD countries. WHY?
