What is e-Government? E-government has been defined as ‘the use of ICT to promote more efficient and effective government, facilitate more accessible government services, allow greater public access to information, and make government more accountable to citizens”. The resulting outputs can be: less corruption, increased transparency, greater convenience, revenue growth, cost reductions. 11/12/2018

To establish knowledge-based industries IT POLICY 2004 (Revised) “By 2015, Nepal will have transformed itself into a knowledge-based society by becoming fully capable of harnessing information and communication technologies and through this means, achieving the goals of good governance, poverty reeducation and social economic development.” IT Policy 2004 again revised in 2007 (BS 2065) and is now in the process of Government approval Cyber Law (Electronic Transaction Act 2004) amended in 2006 (BS 2063) Related By Laws 11/12/2018
