2017 - Glossopdale’s Best Ever GCSE Results “Best by All, for All” 2017 - Glossopdale’s Best Ever GCSE Results In 2017, 100% of all students achieved at least one qualification 60% of students achieved five grades or more at standard pass level (C or above/ 4 or above) 41% of students achieved five grades at strong pass level (C or above / 5 or above) 16 students achieved 8 or more grades of above a 7 (A-A*). Some of these students achieved qualifications graded at 9 / A*s in all of their subjects 22% of all GCSE grades were 7+ (A*-A) which is above National average

2017 - Glossopdale’s Best Ever GCSE Results Headline measures for schools have now changed. Attainment 8 is attainment for the best 8 subjects that a student is examined in, including English and Maths. Our Attainment 8 score was 47, DCC average was 45.6, National average was 44.6. Progress 8 takes the same 8 subjects and looks at progress from prior attainment. Our Progress 8 score was-0.02 which is 8th in Derbyshire. Basics is another National headline measure, which measure the percentage of grades at 5 (C ) or above for English and Maths. This was 41% for our school, 39.6% Nationally.

Our Sixth Form – Rated as “Good” (OfSTED 2016) The school successfully ensures that the vast majority of Y11 students continue their education at our Sixth Form (A Level or BTEC Qualifications), other Further Education Colleges or with Post 16 Training / Apprenticeship providers. Our Sixth Form, judged as good by OfSTED achieved 33% A*/A grades and 44% B grades or above at A Level. 95% of our students achieved A*-E Grades. Most of our students have progressed on to University with many getting their first choice place.
