EBIS Website instruction

Plan Enrollment

Return to the ABC-C page when you know which plan you want. This is the Employee Benefits Information System (EBIS). This is where you can change your benefit elections as a technician. The correct web address is https://www.ebis.army.mil. Googling EBIS will send you to a different agencies EBIS. Click on “Employee Benefits Information System” to get started. As a first time user you must select the new user button.

To establish your PIN for the first time select “New User”.

First time users your temporary PIN is your two digit month and the last two digits of your year of birth (MMYY). Select “Continue”

New User enter your new six digit PIN Select “Set PIN”

If you have forgotten your PIN, click the “Reset PIN” link to establish a new PIN.

You will need information from your LES or SF 50 to reset your PIN. Select “Continue”

If you have difficulty remembering your PIN use your CAC PIN Select “Set PIN”.

You are now able to log in using your social security number and newly established PIN. Select “Login”

1st time users, you may want to print the summary of My Benefits 1st time users, you may want to print the summary of My Benefits. This is a detailed report of all your current benefits captured in EBIS. Click on calculators to prepare multiple Retirement, TSP and FEGLI estimates. You can use multiple dates and variations for FEHB and FEGLI into retirement.

Click on the “Transactions” icon to complete your health, life insurance, TSP and TSP catch up elections.

Selecting a FEHB Plan

Lets select a Health Insurance Plan, Select “Change” To make a TSP election or change contributions, select “Change” here. To make a FEHB election or change coverage, Select “Change” here. To make a FEGLI election or change contributions, Select “Change” here To make a TSP catch up election or change contributions, select “Change” here.

Click here to begin your FEHB transaction Click here to begin your FEHB transaction. During Open Season the drop down will indicate an Open Season election opportunity. Select “Begin” Be advised that if you are making a premium conversion it is recommended to call ABC-C when doing so

Click the bullet that represents your reason for selecting outside the Open Season. Select “Next”. During Open Season this option will not appear unless you select the Non-Open Season election.

Click on the applicable bullet Select “Next”.

Enter the effective date of the event Select “Next”.

Select the plan you want and Select “Next”. This menu gives you the option of selecting a self only or family plan. It includes the cost per pay period.

By selecting whether you are married or not does not “Lock” you into a family plan. Select “Next”

Now your action is pending Print a copy of the election you just made and keep it for your records.

All pending elections can be viewed in this block and may be printed for your records.

Changing TSP elections Selecting/ Changing TSP elections

To change your TSP contribution select “Change”

To make an election or change in FEGLI select “Change”

Select if you want to Decrease, Increase or Waive coverage.

Select the appropriate bullet and select “Next”

Fill out any data requested and select “Next”

Check this box if you are electing for Option A

Use the drop down menu to select for option B Select “Next”

You must select “Process Transaction” or your election will not be saved

Verify your elections. If you need to cancel the transaction Select “Void”

You can adjust options A, B and C to determine a final cost per pay period

You can use the retirement related forms in EBIS which automatically populates your administrative data on each form. This saves time and the possibility of error. Here is a list of all retirement related forms. Select the form and click “Create”.

Under the “My Profile” icon, entries are manually entered and computations are based on personal input.

You may also use the “Search” option to find detailed information. The information library is organized by benefit topics. Click on the topic you need additional information on. You may also use the “Search” option to find detailed information.

When you are finished Select the “logout” button.
