Graduation Requirements Students need a total of 26 CREDITS to meet USD 407 graduation requirements Foreign Language is not required by USD 407 for graduation or for KS Qualified Admissions, but it is required for KS Scholar and may be required for admission to out of state Universities/Colleges English = 4 credits Social Science = 3 credits Science = 3 credits Math = 3 credits PE/Health = 1 credit Fine Arts = 1 credit Electives = 11 credits

KS Qualified Admissions Universities: Emporia State, Fort Hays State, K-State, Pittsburg, Wichita State KU: has different admission standards from those listed below (visit admissions.ku.edu) Guaranteed admission to 5 of the state’s universities by completing the Qualified Admissions or KS Scholars Curriculum with at least a 2.0 GPA; AND ACT of 21 or higher: OR SAT score of 980 or higher; OR Graduate in the top one-third of class, AND Achieve a 2.0 GPA or higher on any college credit taken during high school USD 407 Requirements PLUS Science: Chemistry OR Physics Math: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II AND meet the ACT college readiness math benchmark (score of 22) -OR- 4 years including Senior year - Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and any course beyond Algebra II Math credit earned in middle school DO NOT fulfill the requirement

KS Scholars Curriculum State Scholar designation during Senior year (eligible for KS State Scholarship provided by KS Legislature) Science Biology, Chemistry, AND Physics (fourth year of Science is recommended) Math 4 years - Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II and any course beyond Algebra II Algebra 1 in 8th grade does count Foreign Language 2 years of the SAME foreign language Kansas Resident Must have taken the ACT between April of Sophomore year and December of Senior year Certified documentation from high school of curriculum and 7th semester GPA The academic profile of recent scholars include an average ACT of 30 and an average GPA of 3.91. State Scholars may receive up to $1,000 annually for up to four undergraduate years (five, if enrolled in a designated five-year program), based on financial need (measured by date submitted on the FAFSA) and the availability of State funds.

NCAA NCAA Core Courses NCAA Non Core Courses English 1-4, American Literature, Creative Writing Algebra 1-3, Geometry, Statistics Biology, Chemistry, Physics American History, Civics, Government Additional: Comparative Religion, Spanish 1-4 Core courses have to be listed on your transcript If Algebra I or Spanish 1 was taken in 8th grade, they will not count NCAA Non Core Courses Fine Arts or vocations such as driver education, typing, art, music, physical education or welding Personal skill classes such as personal finance or consumer education Classes taught below grade level, at a slower pace or with less rigor or depth Classes that are not academic in nature such as film appreciation, video editing, or greenhouse management

Eligibility Grades are run every Monday at 9 am If the student has an F, they will have a week probation to raise the grade. If by the next Monday they are still failing the same class, they will be ineligible for the week. This includes all KSHSAA Activities

Transcripts Grading System Class Rank: A=90-100 B=80-89 C=70-79 D=60-69 F+Below 60 Class Rank: Calculated and locked in January and June Transcripts: Parents/student can ask for a copy of the student’s unofficial transcript at anytime
