Partners Library departments Maynooth Students’ Union Implementation team made up of staff from a number of departments within the Library Commitment to finance the winning suggestion Maynooth Students’ Union President of MSU Joint funding of the prize Dr Peter Robbins Head of Department EDEN University Centre for Entrepreneurship, Design & Creativity

The Process Tap into the students Focus Group, Student Ambassadors & Library Staff Thought a lot about the name and the concept Importance of a symbiotic relationship We could have surveyed students, picked something they “wanted”, however, we wholeheartedly wanted to work with students on it The competition, therefore, is an alignment of both our desire to innovate and a commitment to engage directly with our student audience.

The Process Work with resources we already had on campus The workshop was invaluable and helped students strengthen their pitch and articulate their ideas Students’ Union supported the initiative Panel Lorna Dodd, MU; Dillon Grace, President MSU; Cathal McCauley, MU; Dr Alison Hood, Dean of Teaching and Learning MU; Dr Sandra Collins, Director, National Library Workshop with Dr Peter Robbins was an invaluable experience for students – presentation skills/business pitch

The Event On the day 15 minute pitch Lunch for students Innovation team stayed with students for support Students invited their friends Video recorded the event and the build-up for future advertising Winner publically announced in the library foyer
