Presentation transcript:

To promote independence and team bonding. To create memories. To challenge ourselves. To make new friends. To learn new skills. To learn outside of the classroom. Middle leaders in our schools are subject leaders. 1

Where will my child be staying? Kingswood outdoor centre is only a stones throw away as is located in Albrighton, Wolverhampton. It is usually around a 40 minute journey. The children will leave school between 9:00 and 9:30 in the morning and will travel together on a coach. There are several smaller dorms which usually hold around 8 children and a larger dorm which holds 12. Each dorm is supervised by at least one adult the whole duration of the stay and during the night.

What will my child do when they arrive? Children will unpack their luggage, be greeted and be given a brief talk by the Kingswood representatives and will then start with their first activity. Next they will have a cooked lunch and enjoy discussing what they have learnt in the morning. Activity two will take place and then children will have their dinner (lunchbox provided from home). The children will complete their final activities including rabbit walk , soft play and a visit to the Kingswood shop. Story time and straight to sleep (hopefully)

What activities will my child be doing? There are a huge range of activities that the children get to do including: den building, pond dipping, animal hunting, zip wire, animal handling, orienteering, woodland walk and team building activities. Lets check out the video and have a look

What will my child need to bring? Children will need to bring lots of thin layers to keep them warm and dry as unfortunately the one thing we cannot book is the weather! Waterproof coat and long trousers and tops. Bin bag for wet clothes. Small hand towel and face flannel. Pyjamas, toothbrush and toothpaste. A packed lunch box for the first day in a disposable bag. Sensible outdoor footwear including wellies. Indoor shoes to keep dry such as slippers or trainers. A maximum of £5 as there is an opportunity to visit the shop and buy some small souvenirs to take back home with them. A drinks/water bottle they can re-fill during their trip. Any medication (informed to school) and list of dietary requirements, intolerances and allergies.
