Scottish Resilient Communities Conference 2017 We live in communities that are inclusive, empowered, resilient and safe Lifelines Project Resources Gill Moreton, NHS Lothian, the Rivers Centre

Resilient Communities Conference Cambuslang October 27th 2017 Update... Resilient Communities Conference Cambuslang October 27th 2017

What’s been happening since the last conference? Nov – Dec 2016 Gill got sick. So wasn’t able to write the e-module when there was still protected time to work on Lifelines. Then the Rivers Centre moved building becoming an open access trauma service Since then the Rivers team have been super busy and that’s why it’s taken much longer than planned to create the e-module

Libor 2017 We considered making an application to Libor for additional funds to extend Lifelines but weren’t eligible to apply. Only the following types of organisation are eligible to apply a registered charity a Community Interest Company or an Armed Forces unit with a Unit Identification Number (UIN) Eligible organisations can work with statutory or private sector organisations to deliver their project, but must be the lead applicant. There wasn’t sufficient time to identify a partner who could make the application

The e-module is finished! Available on the ScoRDS website soon

Future... SG has provided some additional funding to allow us to work on embedding & extending the reach of Lifelines Scotland over the coming 9 months: Promoting the availability of the module & it’s inclusion in organisations’ training packages Liaising with volunteer & blue light organisations to ascertain interest in further training Working with ScoRDS on the delivery of further training Seeking advice & support to develop a business case for Lifelines being a long term resource for Scottish responders
