THE CHRISTIAN FAITH 1. Is an intelligent, rational faith. 2. It appeals to the mind as well as to the heart. Matthew 22:36-38 ; John 8:32 3. My heart cannot rejoice in what my mind rejects! 4. The strong faith God requires involves both the heart and the mind

THE CHRISTIAN FAITH 1. Is a historical, factual faith. 2. Example: Luke 2:1-5; 3:1-2 ( notice the appeal to time, places, people and events that actually existed in history. 3. Not a philosophical faith. 4. Not a faith based upon myths and legends (Luke 1:1-4; 2nd Peter 1:16-21).

THE CHRISTIAN FAITH 1. Is an objective faith. 2. Faith in an object: Jesus of Nazareth. 3. John 8:24 ; Romans 10:9 4. Faith in who He was and faith in what He did. 5. The cliché, “it does not matter what you believe, as long as you believe in something”, is inconsistent with the Christian faith.
