What is Slide Animation? Animation is movement of text or pictures inside a slide. When you use animation you can make the text and content in a slide move in different ways. It is easy to add animation to the text and content in your slides.

Adding Custom Animation to Your Slides In the Animation Tab, Animation Group, click on Custom Animation. Click on the text or content that you want to animate. Click on the Add Effect button.

Four Animation Types You can choose Entrance Exit Emphasis Motion Path From the menu choose the animation effect that you want. Then choose the speed.

Removing Slide Animation All of your animations will be listed numerically in the Slide Pane. To remove an animation, select the text or content FIRST and then choose Remove in from the menu.

What Are Slide Transitions? Transitions are movements that occur between slides. There are many types of transitions that you can add to your slideshow.

Adding Transitions Look in the Animations Tab  Transition to this Slide Group Click on the down arrow to see the menu of transitions.

Adding Transitions (cont.) Choose a Transition from the list. Choose a speed. Choose a sound. Click the Preview button to see the Transition.

Removing a Transition From the Transitions menu, click on No Transition The transition will be deleted.

Animation and Transition Tips Don’t add too many animation and transition effects to your slides. Too much action will make your audience crazy!
