Plot Diagram Presentation “Green Eggs and Ham” McCarthy 2012

Basic Situation Sam I Am is a guy who likes green eggs and ham. He seems like he is happy and positive. The other guy seems mean and he likes to read his newspaper. He seems bothered by distractions and just negative in general.

Event 1 Sam I Am asks the other guy if he’ll try green eggs and ham

Conflict Sam I Am wants the other guy to try green eggs and ham Other guy doesn’t want to try them. He refuses because he doesn’t like them.

Event Sam asks him if he will try it with a bunch of different characters

Event The other guy refuses to try it with them NO!!!!

Event Sam asks him to try it in a bunch of different places The other guy still refuses

Complication Sam I Am seems like he is on the verge of quitting.

Event Sam ask one more time. He says that he should try them because he may like them. The other guy agrees-- on the condition that if he tries them, Sam will leave him alone.

CLIMAX!!! The other guy tries the green eggs and ham All of the other characters watch in anxious anticipation IS HE GOING TO LIKE THEM!!!!??????

Resolution The other guy does like them. He thanks Sam I Am for making him try them, says he will eat them all the time. Sam was right YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!
