Let’s look at some Maps!

Questions: In your own words, explain the concept of ethnicity. 2. Given current U.S. population trends, by what year will ‘white, non-Hispanic’ no longer be the majority of the U.S. population? 3. By 2050, ‘African-American Alone’ and ‘Asian Alone’ population categories will exceed how many people in the U.S.? How does your answer to Question 3, explain your answer to Question 2? Regionally, where do states have a higher percentage of African-American citizens? Why do you think that’s the case? Regionally, where do states have the highest percent change in African-American population as a percentage of the region’ population? Why do you think that’s the case? Regionally, where do states have a higher percentage of Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander citizens? Why do you think that’s the case?
