Culture Research Project Europe - France Rachel Knott

Map of France France is located in Europe. It is west of Austria and  Germany. It is north of The Equator.

Flag of France 'tricolor' (three color) and consists of The flag of France is usually known as the  'tricolor' (three color) and consists of  equal width stripes of blue, white, and red. It is the one of the three  official 'French Symbols'. The  flag is 1.5 times as long as  it is high.

Art of France French art consists of the visual and plastic arts (including architecture, woodwork, textiles, and ceramics) originating from the geographical area of France.

Food of France The Croissant is a very popular food in France. To your right is a Croissant. It is mostly made out of bread.

Clothing of France The traditional dress in France depends on the region, but consists of items like lace- trimmed blouses, aprons with colorful flowers and white, flared bonnets. The one thing that France's regional costumes have in common is that they are all based on late 18th century rural clothing.

Beliefs of France France is officially secular, although most French are Roman Catholics. About a third are atheists, and the rest include Jews, Muslims, Protestants, and other religions.

Customs of France The most popular celebrations in France are: -Christmas (called "Noël") but it's on the 24th at midnight, on the 25th, you see the rest of the families or finish the party :) - Bastille Day, the 14th of July, the national day of France.

Music of France The music of France reflects a diverse array of styles. In the field of classical music, France has produced a number of prominent romantic composers, while folk and popular music have seen the rise of the chanson and cabaret style.

The Arctic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea The Arctic Ocean is located north of the Equator. The Mediterranean Sea is a sea connected to the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by the Mediterranean Basin and almost completely enclosed by land: on the north by Southern Europe and Anatolia, on the south by North Africa, and on the east by the Levant.

The Alps Mountains The French Alps are the section of the Alps Mountains, a large range in central western Europe, mainly in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France. The French Alps are… in the southeast area of France.

Culture of France France is one of the oldest nations on Earth and the most ethnically  diverse country in Europe. These deep  and broad influences have made France a world leader throughout history in nearly  all aspects of culture, including cuisine,  wine-making, politics, philosophy, music, art, film, fashion, literature, and sports.

Facts The capital of France is Paris Just like in Tennessee there's a town called Paris. Their money is called Euros.
