Required Supplies Return to the Magnet Webpage One large three-ringed binder with 2 inch metal rings. No trapper keepers. Ten dividers with plastic tabs. Two for each class. (One for current work and the other for returned work or notes.) No less than 100 sheets of ruled 3 hole notebook paper. No spiral notebooks or tear-out paper pads. One zippered pouch with holes that fit into a three-ringed binder. Several sharpened pencils ( #2 Suggested) At least two black or blue pens. One three-hole ruler that fits into the binder. One small pack of colored pencils. Small stapler and staples. Small calculator ( scientific is recommended). Curtiss Student Planner Physical Education - Students are expected to dress for and participate in Physical Education class every day. PE uniforms are required and may be purchased at the student store. Return to the Magnet Webpage

Expected Behavior Return to the Magnet Web Page Attend school regularly. Arrive on time and be on your assigned seat before the tardy bell rings. Bring all required materials to class each day. Respect yourself and the rights, property, and needs of other students and teachers. Obtain permission first to speak or to leave your seat. Homework Policy Return to the Magnet Web page The Curtiss Magnet has a uniform policy regarding homework assignments. This policy is to assure consistency so each student can have a positive learning experience in our classes. Homework is to be monitored by parents through the use of the Curtiss Magnet Student Planner. It is the policy of the magnet program that missed work will only be accepted in the case of excused absences. Late or incomplete work will nor be accepted. If you are absent for an extended period of time, parents/students need to contact the magnet office for assignments. All work must be neat and clean. Papers which have been rolled, folded, back-pocketed, doodled-upon, or tagged will not be accepted. Return to the Magnet Web page

Code of Conduct Curtiss Middle School students are responsible for their own actions and property. The possession of any illegal item, substance, or object cannot be justified by claiming that it belongs to another person, or was found. Students found in the possession of any illegal item, substance, of object are subject to arrest and possible expulsion from the Los Angeles Unified School District.
