What is the Professional Diploma in Official Statistics for Policy Evaluation? One year, part time programme. Introduces participants to important Irish and International official statistics that help them better understand the structures and trends in the economy and society of Ireland and the EU. It is taught by professional statisticians from CSO and policy specialists from the IPA Mandatory for all Statisticians grades in the CSO

What is the Professional Diploma in Official Statistics for Policy Evaluation? A unique feature of the course is the emphasis on data sources in a live policy context. (The regular data-labs deal with live data). The professional Diploma is provided on a non-profit basis and offered at low cost to students. It is delivered through blended learning (mix of classes and distance education) .

Professional Diploma in Official Statistics - Course Content The Framework of Official Statistics Macro – Economy Statistics Business Economy Statistics People, Demography and Labour Force Statistics

Professional Diploma in Official Statistics - Delivery Part-time course runs between September and April. Students attend seminars and workshops Materials prepared by the CSO and the IPA Accredited by University College Dublin Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications. Courses run in IPA Dublin/outside location in CSO Cork in 2014/2015 academic year
