Opioid Crisis in Macomb County Impact and Response Macomb Office of Substance Abuse October 30, 2017 Macomb Intermediate School District

Opioid Forum Provides Information, Support, Hope (Clinton Township) -- On Oct. 30, 2017, over 225 people attended “Opioid Crisis in Macomb County – Impact and Response” sponsored by Macomb Community Mental Health Office of Substance Abuse. Presentations were given by a panel of area experts on the scope of the opioid crisis in Macomb County, and its impact on health and the community. There was a discussion of treatment, training, community and related programs, and state and federal grants aimed to help those with substance use disorders (SUD). Presentations also included neo-natal effects from opioids, Project NOPE, and an individual story of recovery, followed by a Q&A. Thanks to Macomb Intermediate School District for hosting a wonderful facility.
