INTERNET PICTURE TO SURFCAM

Find your Picture eg. jpg or bitmap

Save into your H:drive.

Open Inkscape

File / Open / Find picture / OK

Click OK

Highlight the picture. (click on it)

Path / Trace bitmap.

Brightness cutoff low number = less image filled (LEFT IMAGE) high number = more image filled (RIGHT IMAGE)

Edge Detection high number = less definition (LEFT IMAGE) low number = more definition (RIGHT IMAGE)

When you are happy with the updated picture click ok

Drag your new image to one side and delete the old image.

File / Save As / Change to DXF / Save

Choose Robo Master type / OK

Open Surfcam – change file type to DXF / open your file / OK

Click OK

Check the size of your drawing / Analyse / Distance / Sketch To change the size. Edit / Transform / Move / Scale (to work out the scale : the size of your drawing divided by the size you want it to be)
