Independent Reading Project Remember, that thing that is due tomorrow? Let’s make that due on Friday instead. Using a file folder, create an attractive file to describe the book to a future potential reader. 1. Create a cover including artwork, the book’s title, author, your name, and date completed. 2. Left Inside Panel – three main characters, setting, five vocab words and definitions 3. Right Inside Panel – Brief plot summary, rating you give book (1 – 5 scale) 4. Back Cover – Your letter written to me about the book (How did you connect to the book? Discuss major characters – were they realistic? What themes does the book address? How is it relevant to readers today? Or discuss a passage or passages.
