Figure 1 Histologic and immunohistochemical studies. H&E staining of the duodenum of patient 2 showing subtotal villous atrophy, lamina propria, and glandular intraepithelial infiltration by monomorphic small lymphoid cells. (A) H&E, original magnification, ×100; (B and C) H&E, original magnification, ×200; expressing CD3 (D and E), original magnification, ×200. Figure 2 Histologic and immunohistochemical studies. Duodenum biopsy specimen of patient 2 showing infiltration by monomorphic small-lymphoid cells expressing CD4 (A and B, original magnification, ×200) and Vβ22 (C, original magnification, ×200) but not CD8 (D, original magnification, ×200). Supplementary Figure 1 Practical scheme. Diagnosis of intestinal CD4 T-cell lymphoma relies on biopsy analysis including immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry with evidence of infiltration of epithelium and lamina propria by monomorphic small CD4+ T cells expressing a particular Vβ repertoire. For follow-up evaluation, endoscopy and PET scan were repeated at regular intervals. Ab, antibody.
