Collective Worship Time

We gather together:

All Saint’s Day - November 1st Today let us think about All Saint’Day

Litany for All Saints We gather: Opening Prayer Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. Holy Mary, pray for us. St. Michael, pray for us. Holy angels of God, pray for us. St. John the Baptist, pray for us. St. Joseph, pray for us. St.Wilfrid, pray for us. St. Teresa, pray for us. St.Francis, pray for us.

We listen The greatest among you must be your servant. Listen carefully to the Gospel of the Lord. The greatest among you must be your servant. Anyone who raises himself up will be humbled, and anyone who humbles himself will be raised up. The Gospel of the Lord Praise to you Lord, Jesus Christ Matthew 23: 11-12

We respond The following poem is said to have been inspired by Blessed Pope John Paul II “We need saints without cassocks, without veils – we need saints with jeans and trainers. We need saints that go to the cinema, that listen to music, that hang out with their friends. We need saints that place God in first place ahead of being first themselves. We need saints that look for time to pray every day and who know how to love all good things. We need saints – saints for the 21st century with a spirituality appropriate to our new time. We need saints that have a commitment to helping the poor and to make the needed social change. We need saints that drink Coca-Cola, that eat hot dogs, that google and snapchat. We need saints that love the Eucharist, that are not embarrassed to go to mass. We need saints who are in this world and who know how to enjoy the best in this world without being boring. We need saints like you.”

We go forth God our father, I come to say, Thank you for your love today. Thank you for my family And all the friends you give to me. Guard me in the dark of night And in the morning send your light. St. Wilfrid, Patron of our School, pray for us
