We’re here to say a big THANK YOU

Why we do what we do: Our vision: A world free from sexual violence Our mission: reducing the impact of sexual abuse on individuals, families and whānau, and our wider community

What a year: #metoo, life-threatening moments (we nearly ran out of money) … and so much aroha

We got a lot of media: not always for the reasons we would want to be in the news.

Whether you offered time as a collector or stall manager, donated goods to be raffled or auctioned, supplied our volunteers with hot drinks, organised or hosted an event for us – helped with social media, p.r. or graphic design - it is with all of your help that we were able to make this happen.

Over the last month you’ve shaken a bucket, tested your knowledge at quiz nights, volunteered at quiz nights, zumba danced and practised yoga, held morning teas, been to the movies and even baked potatoes for lunch, all in the name of giving to HELP.

The kindness came from so many directions…

Public Service Association Quiz Night

Friends from sister agencies and old staff helped!

Friends from our communities…

Quite a few men! And a dog!

Famous people helped us too!

We auctioned beautiful things…

… and unusual things! (including a vasectomy)

2018 Appeal: 140 volunteers 3 days plus lots of side events Over $14,000 from the street collection Nearly $30,000 raised overall 

Behind the scenes were our amazing staff.

Who got behind it (and in front) in so many ways.

Thank you. We are so grateful – especially to Harriet, far right, who coordinated our Appeal 

Thank you.
