Adult learning theories Pedagogy The means of how a child learns and is taught Andragogy The means of how an adult learns and is taught Transformational learning Adults question basic values, beliefs, and perspectives Cultural differences Rothman (2007) “defines culture as a set of values, beliefs, and practices grounded in common history and experiences shared by a group” Crowdsourcing Method of “harnessing collective intellect and creative solutions” Transformational learning It is the process where adults question everything around them and how adults interact with the world around them. Basic morals, principles, and viewpoints are questioned and used in the decision making and learning process. (Caffarella & Daffron, 2013, p. 54) Cultural differences Training programs need to be designed to fit the needs of many cultures. Not all cultures have the same preferences. Some prefer informal training such as hall conversations and learning groups of members with similar cultural backgrounds. (Caffarella & Daffron, 2013, p. 59) Crowdsouring Brabham (2009) introduced the term of crowdsourcing. It is a method of online collaboration to gather intellectual ideas from a network of people in an organized manner.
