My College Application 1) Common Application 2) Coalition Application What is it? Which do I choose? - When can I begin completing it? - How does information get from these applications to my colleges? - How do you link them to Naviance? 3) School’s Application - Available on each college’s website.

The Coalition Application STEP1: Create an account.

MUST open the Coalition Application in Google Chrome:

STEP 2: Complete all sections of your profile.

STEP 3: Search and Upload your Colleges. STEP 4: Start Application.

MUST follow prompts in order and select “I have read and agree to above” within your application:

Do NOT add recommenders. We send all documents through other means.

The Common Application

STEP 1: Create an account.

STEP 2: Go to the College Search tab.

Add at least one college to your list. Step 3: Add at least one college to your list. How? Type a college name into the “College or City Name” search bar and click Search.

STEP 4: Go to the My Colleges tab.

STEP 5: Follow ALL prompts in order (starting with the “Questions” box). STEP 6: Complete ALL three boxes in gray side bar so that your Common Application will link to Naviance.

Allows CHS to electronically send… Official Transcripts Teacher Recommendations Counselor Recommendations …regardless of what application you use.

Linking Naviance to The Common Application (Remember… we have already linked The Coalition Application by clicking “I have read and agree to the above” within my application.)

STEP 1: Log on to Naviance and click on “Colleges I’m Applying To.”

STEP 2: Click “Match Accounts” and follow prompts.

You will know you have matched successfully when the bar turns green.

…and clicking “I’m Applying To” at the bottom of your school’s page.

Requesting Teacher Recommendations through Naviance

STEP 1: Click on “letters of recommendation section” under “Colleges.”

STEP 2: Choose your teacher from the drop down menu to send he/she electronic notification.

STEP 3: Select which colleges will receive your teacher’s letter (You can be specific or choose all colleges from your list) and click “Submit Request.”

2-Year College Admissions Components Application Official Transcript -submit last 2 pages of senior packet ONLY Financial Aid
