Heatwave – when it is very hot for many consecutive days and nights. Snowstorm – a storm with lots of snow and strong winds. Snowstorms are sometimes called blizzards. Earthquake – when the ground shakes. Hurricane – a large rotating storm with very strong winds that form over warm ocean water. Tsunami – a large wave that is caused by an underwater movement of the ground. Tornado – a violent rotating column of air extending from a thunderstorm to the ground. Forest fire – a big uncontrollable fire that occur in a forest.
