Sports Events Church Partnerships

Vision The Vision of a Sports Events Church Partnership is to use major sports events to share the love of Jesus Christ with spectators attending large sport events, with communities and own church members before during and after major sports events.

Mission The Mission is to utilize various strategies that will enable churches to corporately: Reach out to spectators attending large sporting events. Reach out to communities using sports events as leverage. Reach out to its own members.

What Is a Major Sports Event? This any sports event that are organised by an international sporting body and that attracts large numbers of spectators nationally or internationally. For instance the OLYMPICS; World Cups of Soccer, Cricket and Rugby; African Nations Cup; Commonwealth Games.

What is a Major Sports Event Church Partnership? A group of churches that have decided to work together, that are located in a same geographical area, that have formed a joint committee or working group and that are willing to share their expertise and resources.

Reaching Visitors/Spectators: Strategies Reaching Visitors/Spectators: Hospitality Centres/Fan Parks, Gospel Media Centres or Desks, Prayer Evangelism, Tract Drives, Face Painting, Drama, Festivals.

Reaching Communities: Strategies Reaching Communities: Big Screen Events in Church Halls, Community Centres, Public Parks and other Open Spaces. Sports Tournaments, Sports Events, Sports Coaching, Sports Clinics, Holiday Clubs.

Strategies Reaching Church Members: Global Community Games (Kids Games, Teen games, Family Games), Sports Services
