POLICY AND REGULATORY AFFAIRS STEP ONE Conduct detailed background research on policy motivations STEP TWO Assist client with crafting engagement strategy and messaging STEP THREE Identify key 3rd party stakeholders and create awareness about impact STEP FOUR Create a coalition of interested parties to act jointly with client on policy representations with policy makers STEP FIVE Utilise established platforms such as SEIAS, NEDLAC, Parliamentary Portfolio Committees and Political Office bearers to achieve desired policy outcomes. 05

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT Conduct detailed stakeholder identification and map their interests. Provide guidance and align stakeholder interests with client needs. Assist 3rd party stakeholders to articulate clients interests and make inputs into policy formulation. Maintain the network of stakeholders to constantly gauge sentiment, gain first-hand insight. 06

RESEARCH AND POLITICAL RISK ADVISORY Advise clients on relevant political and policy pronouncements. Craft strategies to interact with political developments on a proactive basis Go beyond media scanning and engage directly with relevant political actors to source intelligence on political and policy developments. Monitor and analyse and interpret political developments. 07

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND MOBILISATION FAA has an extensive network of community based organisations. In achieving mutually beneficial policy objectives, we also consider the community aspect of policy formulation, implementation and consultation. We believe in grassroots education and involvement in the formulation of policies to achieve long lasting solutions that will leave a legacy. 09

POLITICAL COMMUNICATION FAA believes in broad based democratic policy making. The media and social media are a critical lever for the dissemination of key messaging and creating policy resonance. We use our broad media contacts and social media presence to assist clients with creating awareness about their broad policy positions. 09

OUR TEAM Thembinkosi Gcoyi served as Economic Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa to the People’s Republic of China from 2010-2014. He took up the role after spending four years in various roles in the Department of International Relations and Cooperation from 2006-2010. He founded Frontline Africa Advisory in June 2015 out of a desire to contribute to the process of public policy formulation by bringing together different stakeholders. OUR TEAM Calvin Matlou holds a Bachelor of Arts qualification in International Relations and Economic Studies from Wits University, as well as an Honours qualification in International Politics from the University of Johannesburg. He served in government for 8 years before taking on a new challenge in the private sector, where continues to contribute to the development agenda of South Africa. Over the years, he has amassed experience in people centred policy development, understanding of different economic models and how they impact economic development, policy making processes. He also seen how government alone cannot achieve its developmental goals without assistance from various partners, therefore public-private partnerships represent the greatest model to better overall outcomes. OUR TEAM Mokgethi Nkosi holds a Bachelor of Political Science in International Relations (BPolSci) and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Development studies(BSocSci) from the University of Pretoria. He also has certficates in monitoring and evaluation, project management and policy formulation. He is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Specialising in Corporate Governance with Monash SA. He previously worked for the United Nations Information Centre as a Partnership Intern and joined the National Department of Tourism as an Intern specialising in research and social responsibility implementation. His recent position was with a Development Consultancy Firm. He is the Regulatory and Stakeholder Engagement Officer at Frontline Africa Advisory responsible for public policy and regulatory affairs analysis and community engagement and mobilising. He brings diverse experience from across a number of business areas, namely community-based projects in South African rural areas, business development, business communication, research, policy development and social media. OUR TEAM Asanda Gcoyi (MBA) Business Development and Marketing Consultant  Asanda Gcoyi is in charge of business operations. She is a business strategist who has supported SMMEs in developing business systems and alignment of business strategy. She holds an MBA from Peking University in China. Asanda is also a member of Coaches and Mentors South Africa (COMESA) and the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is a certified Marshal Goldsmith Stakeholder Centred Coach 11

OUR TEAM Noluthando Nkosi Operations Assistant Thando Nkosi holds a certificate in Marketing Management from South West Gauteng College. She started her career at Frontline Africa Advisory as an Intern responsible for office support. She was recently promoted to Ops. Assistant where she is responsible for Frontline Africa Advisory’s marketing support, administration, business development support and social media coordination. 11
