What is Leadership? Leadership is the ability to make strategic decisions and use communication effectively to mobilize group members toward achieving a common goal.

Successful leader can effect in many dialects: The tensions Individual goals Group goals Conflict - cohesion Structure - spontaneity

Leadership and power Can associate with the position. Legitimate power Reward power Coercive power Informational power Can associate with the personal characteristics of leader. Expert power Referent power Persuasive power Charismatic power

An effective leader Several kinds of power depending on needs of the group and the situation.

Becoming a Leader Are selected by group members or outside authority. Emergent leaders gradually achieve leadership by interacting with group members and contribute with group’s goals. There are many strategies becoming leader.
