Outline Introduction Motivation Methodology (ANN approach) Issues with existing approach Why MA? Proposed Approach Q&A

Introduction

Diabetic Retinopathy Diabetic retinopathy is a leading problem that is occurs in the vast variety of diabetic patients. It’ll lead into eventual blindness by damaging the blood vessels in human retina.

Diabetic Retinopathy Depends on, Micro aneurysms Exudates Hemorrhages Non Proliferative DR Proliferative DR Depends on, Vessel tortuosity

Motivation Screening diabetic retinopathy is Time consuming Ophthalmologists have to discover large area at once Evaluation is performed using Expensive equipment involvement such as fundus camera Experts involvement

Methodology-ANN approach Retinal Image Acquisition Preprocessing Feature Extraction Stages of NPDR classification Feed into ANN Convert into statistical data The most suitable classifier is MLP because of these statistical data set CLAHE –contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization - for statistical data Healthy Mild Severe Here it obtained 85 % accuracy Moderate

Issues with Existing approach Restricted architecture Extendibility for various diseases Cannot explain reasons for solution Cannot mimic expertise of multiple experts Because of that we hope to utilize the MA solution for DR classification

Why MA? Retinal anomaly diagnosis is a, Complex situation Has dynamically changing with patient to patient These kind of complex situation MA gives better solution rather than ANN.

Proposed Methodology Retinal Image Acquisition Feature Extraction Preprocessing Feature Extraction Stages of NPDR classification Develop Agent Solution Healthy Severe Mild Moderate
