John 14:13-14, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” Philippians 2:9-11, “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

The Significance of JESUS’ NAME The World’s View The Biblical View

The Power of Jesus’ Name In salvation In prayer

We need to understand that if we use the NAME OF JESUS 2 Corinthians 5:20, “We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.” We are representative of Jesus Christ.

We ask in the NAME OF JESUS, we will ask according to His will 1 John 5:14-15, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us whatever we ask we know that we have what we asked of him.” We are representing His interests

We are representing THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and HIS INTERESTS Matthew 28:18, “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Then the Power of the Name of Jesus will gives me access to all the power and authority of heaven to back us up.

Things that happened in the Bible by the NAME OF JESUS

Signs and wonders were done through the name of Jesus - Acts 4:30   The name of Jesus brought healing - Acts 3:6 The name of Jesus brought deliverance from demonic powers - Acts 16 The name of Jesus brings answered prayer - John 14:13-14 The name of Jesus brought salvation - Acts 4:12

CONCLUSION One day, every person will bow before JESUS, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Jesus is exalted and just the mention of that precious name Jesus can speak; peace to the troubled, comfort to the hurting, life to the dead, joy to the sad, hope for the hopeless and glory to the saved soul.
