SURVEYS, SURVEYS, SURVEYS… (Hang-in there SURVEYS, SURVEYS, SURVEYS… (Hang-in there!) Check the weebly for a list and information on all of the surveys we have going on right now. I know it is frustrating to have so many at the same time, but they are all very important for both system and state data collection.

School Climate Rating--2014 87.4 PROUD TO BE AN MCHS INDIAN!

Short Explanation of School Climate: The score is an average of results from student, teacher, and parent surveys. Most high schools received 3 or 4 stars, but there are a couple in our area who received 5 stars (88.6 and above.) The main reason MCHS received 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the “Agreement” between students, teachers, and parents on the surveys. We had higher scores on a couple of the areas, but we had a wider “gap” between the three areas showing an “agreement” concern. We also did not have 15 parents take this particular survey which caused a dip in the “agreement” percentage. We have already started working on the parent participation rate for the 2015 survey. It is important that we all take these surveys very seriously and stress to our students the importance of them taking the surveys seriously as well. State climate ratings for all schools can be found on the DOE website. I have included our full report on the next few slides and will discuss more at our April faculty meeting.
